Hello, and I'm starting a shuttle-based mission report series with shuttles and LVs derived from the shuttle if needed.

Prologue: Part II: Prosperity : Part I

   

 The sound of birds invitingly chirping at the KSC was cancelled out by the roar of "Mainsail" rocket engines pushing a large module, for KSS Prosperity,  a key part of Wernher von Kerman's plan to land a kerbal on the Mun, skyward, into Kerbin Orbit.

BUDGET PROBLEMS

The funds meter winded down and down, so Gene called a meeting to discuss the space agency's future plans. Coming in with a corrupt space program, they came out with this:

This is the Space Shuttle Adventure, which is named after one of Captain James Cook's ships.

It was a reusable vehicle, which went up like a rocket and landed like a rocket, but what use is a rocket that hasn't been thoroughly tested?

 So, the Original Four set off on an adventure (pun intended).

Part 2: Contracts!

With the coming of larger payloads, the Resolution was built. Also named after one of James Cook's ships, it was designed to bring a payload designed by the MulletDyne corporation to a very precise orbit. Yet still, it had a major flaw, unnoticed until reentry.

Pretty nifty!  I find shuttles rather difficult but you make them look easy.

@GeschosskopfI know! For my next shuttle, I will do a lot of testing, and for the next, even more.
