You can use this thread for help if you are new to modding

Hi i'm new to modding and need help. i want to make a mod that makes a spaceship part from the VAB, so you can build spaceships in space from scratch. is it possible to do this and how will i go about it.

Is this what you're wanting?  If so, someone already beat you to it. :wink:

Also, I imagine this was insanely involved and required quite a bit of experience in modeling and coding.  If you want to get into modding, I suggest starting a little smaller.
