As far a Kerbals go...the decision to make their heads enormous for visual fun can sometimes throw off their scale with respect to parts. I believe in one of the Dev Notes they did state conclusively that a kerbal w/helmet could squeeze through a .625m docking port 

I could be wrong, but aren't kerbals only about a metre tall?  That would mean that their 'oversized' heads would still not be very big, maybe about human sized.  It's just that we imagine them being the same height as us as you can lose a sense of scale on a 2D screen that you can zoom in and out if at will.

Either way, artistic licence and all that...  it's not too way off and it works for the visual style of the game, and that's what really matters as it's meant to be a bit cartoony anyhow.

Yea, that's a good point. I often forget how short Kerbals are. I could probably squeeze through an 18 inch wide opening (without a space suit) and even wearing a bulky helmet, my head would easily fit.

Haha. I did this totally on my own volition...I was going through the old posts and decided to save all the pix. From there it was an easy decision to share with the community
