Science based games?  Stationeers is looking promising, but it's early access still.  Buy at your own risk.

Universe Sandbox 2 is great, but its not exactly a game in the traditional sense. Its more of, well, a sandbox for the Universe.

Simple rockets is worth buying on big sale. No, really, there is so little content. I bought it, played for an hour, and uninstalled. You could as well go for Space Agency on mobile, it's free and offers as much.

About space, idk, Space Engineers? Some people say Elite Dangerous is good.

If you're looking for a very strong emphasis on science, try Children of a Dead Earth. Maybe also take an engineering course first.
