I 've always wanted an "inline" chute docking port A conical part (frustum of, or with a nose cap that comes off) with a cylinder (docking port and tunnel) with the chutes in the outer bit.

I end up just using the SSTU capsules most of the time, lol. I like the new 2 seater, however.

On Eve maybe....  On Kerbin, 4 drogues aren't nearly enough to slow it down.  I haven't tried spamming more, but my gut says it's unlikely to work.  There used to be a mod that had a docking port and chutes for the old 1-2, but I think it died a couple of years back.

Angel-125's MOLE mod has a nose for his version of the Gemini with integrated RCS and chutes.   It doesn't look that bad on the nose of a stock 2-seater.

I can't other wise I would. They'd be covering windows or the hatch on the new version.

I know it does but is the mod even up to date? Plus there's a lot of parts I don't need/want and I'd like to be able to resolve this in stock =/ It is a great mod though

Here' a brand-new mod, 1.4.1 compatible, that has a suitable nose-mounted thruster block:

Though note my critique in that thread; these parts don't currently have stock-alike stats

Can confirm this. 4 works, not tried any other numbers... it is a little fast though.
