Unfortunately the Demo is unlikely to be upgraded to a later version, and the 0.13.3 code is not going to be revisited by Squad, so the only way to access the new content is via donating, the donation amount will increase as KSP develops so it's best to get it now.

First off, welcome to the forums. As for adding things to the demo, the demo is (as Sal said) very very unlikely to ever see any revision or update.
