That's a great composition, Mate.  I love the complex melody and the timing of the various sections to the flight.

I know the title is Falcon Heavy OST but in my mind I think of this track as "Flight of the Unicorn".

I'm about as much good at naming things as SpaceX, so your suggestion is greatly appreciated! I might just change the title.

I know that the music is meant to be a bit old skool electronic stuff, but could you shift the volume levels and range a bit ? It doesn't sound exciting or oppressing (yep) enough

The perfect stuff I think :

Spoiler

This would be better for a montage though, not just the launch...

I'm thinking of making a Starman theme for the part where they streamed live video of the Roadster, and as it rotates to face Earth the music could shift like that. Tiangong-1 will probably be the focus of a near-future project. I might watch a Jupiter documentary for inspiration on that theme as well.

Depending on the angles you're planning to use, it could also sounds serene (or even eerie).

Spoiler

This is... just extremely serene. And eerie.

I thought of this, but I realized it's actually very cheerful (probably only not quite for a part near the end, you could argue that the middle isn't cheerful).

Those three from The Planets are the ones I really like btw. They're not weird (like some of the others) and they don't sound classic. I read the writer itself hated those because they're popular and not weird enough.

I've listened to Holst's suite, and he seems to capture the mythological figures represented by the planets very well. My approach is based on the scientific knowledge of these places, though, and warrants a different feel. Scientifically, Holst's Venus and Mars almost ought to be swapped. I wrote Uranus' theme with an eerie feel because we know very little about the planet, but what we do know is tantalizing.
