Nikolai
I feel a bit foolish for asking, but I've noticed that the CAPS LOCK key is bound to toggling between "Precision Control Mode" and "Instant Control Mode". What exactly do those terms mean? Is there something I can look at in-flight to determine which one I'm using at the moment?
Endeavour
The pitch, roll, and yaw indicators will turn blue if you are in precision control mode. It means that the RCS will be less powerful, and you wont turn and quickly.
RyanGt04
With caps lock on (precision control) your movements will be a lot slower allowing for more exact controls. The longer you hold down a key, like W to pitch down for example, the more force will be applied to the movement. I think that's the general idea. Test it out in flight and you'll see what I am talking about
trbinsc
Also, if you are on a mac, you may have to rebind the precision control button to something other than caps lock, like P.

Or will I also see a difference with (A)SAS attitude control?
BillWiskins
It affects your control with or without RCS. It doesn't require ASAS either. I find precision mode practically essential for flying planes - using a keyboard, the controls are just way too sensitive without it.

Does this extra key toggle the precision, or do I have to hold it down while I translate and such?
