Autosave Disable Mod Request

Alright, first if anyone knows how to do this without a mod, please let me know.

Anyway, I would very much like a mod that removes the autosave feature from flight and maybe the editor. Similar to that mod that forces an autosave after various important moments, only the exact opposite.   

Quite frankly I think it is silly there is no way to turn off autosave seeing as it causes my game to stutter every 5 or so seconds. I just need some way to kill it.

I don't think this is due to the autosave but the garbage collector when memory has to be cleared. See here:

Maybe installing the mod Memgraph as pointed out there will help you too. This problem may or be caused by (too many) mods.

Open the Settings.cfg file in your main KSP directory in a text editor and search for AUTOSAVE_INTERVAL and right below it is AUTOSAVE_SHORT_INTERVAL. I'm guessing setting them both to 0 will stop the autosave from firing altogether

That actually makes it fire constantly.  And apparently -1 causes mayhem (reddit) so I'm not giving that a go. =P

I suspected as much. Given there's no setting to turn it off, why would they code it so that a 0 interval does nothing? Oh well, worth a shot

Since I'm outa likes, I'll quote you here.  

Stuttering is most likely from garbage cleanup, not auto saves. 

Get Memgraph and use it.  RTM and it will speed the game up considerably.
