My staging doesn't seem to work.

So every time I go to press "a" to fire my engines or rockets they refuse to start, and I have to use the cursor and manually start each engine, I have the correct fuel and throttle is on, any suggestions on how to get it to work? I use Xbox One and I use the default controls.

Can you get a picture of the staging?  I have a feeling you're doing it backwards.

I'm on my phone and can't figure out how to attach images, my staging has 2 engine icons with "2" next to it and it has"0" in the orange box on top of it
