Odd flight control responses

Hi Kerbalists

 

I'm finding some odd responses to the flight controls in comparison to flight Sims, and in fact in comparison to posted videos by guys like Scott Manley etc.

Namely, I find that when I initiate a yaw turn, I get an initial shimmy in the opposite direction? 

 

Also, yaw or bank turns generate nose lift (yes, I know that is realistic), but I cannot balance the controls to keep the nose down.

Any thoughts?

It could be the design of your vehicle. Not all things will function the same.

Yes, that sounds like aerodynamics, flexing, and that sort of thing rather than a control problem.  Pics of the craft in question might help diagnose the problem.
