Buttons from the setting menu do not appear

Recommended Posts

I was going to play ksp with 118 mods and then when I go to the game settings (the one when you create a new game)  and when I enter it I had so many mods that added a tab to that menu that the cancel and accept button didnt appear I think that could be fix by having a bigger screen (I have an external one) (my laptops one is 1366*768)

So do you got any ideas how to fix that? if you do comment

This issue got fixed in 1.4.3 so I have to assume you play on a earlier version of KSP?

LinuxGuruGamer tried to fix the issue for KSP 1.3.1 and up to 1.4.2. but it looks like his attempt breaks the game really bad and without a permission of Squad, he is not allowed to publish a fix for the bug.

In the mod thread, someone mentioned that he was able to work around the issue by scaling down the UI, maybe this helps you as well.

I don't think what he wants to do to fix it breaks anything in the game...

Just the rules....

It's basically something they should do on their own on their end....really should have been done already since he was nice enough to figure out what to do and brought it to their attention....

How does it break?

I don't know but LinuxGuruGamer said that there is a gamebreaking bug in this mod. Probably it is the bug reported by Godon Dry (disabling settings buttons -> disables mod functionality).

Have you tried to rescale your UI, at least to change the settings? Usually, you don't have to change mod settings every day, do you?

If its that I thought of when going to edit chose the one you want to edit and then when finish editing you put all of them back

Do you think that could work?

Try it (don't forget a backup)^^

Actually, I had the same Idea but I would never suggest something like this without testing it and I really don't want to load a ton of mods just to get enough settings buttons :P

If the issue of the mod is not persistent and occurs just during runtime, I guess there is a chance that this will work.

Otherwise, if you cannot find any other way, usually any mod can be manually configured with a config file or you can remove half of you mods, configure them ingame, and repeat with the other half^^ It is not a comfortable way but the only solution I can think of right now.

I have a screenshot of it but I dont know how to post it

Glad to hear you was able to fix it :)

To post a screenshot, you need to upload the picture and post the link here. There is a good tutorial written by Geonovast for different image hosting sites:
