KSP 1.5 STEAM UBUNTU 18.10 - joystick not detected in game settings

Hello.

I'm using or trying to use KSP under linux.

The combination is UBUNTU 18.10 + STEAM + KSP 1.5 + Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS  ----  NO MODS

Joystick is detected in linux.  Checked with:

lsusb

jstest-gtk

cat /dev/input/by-id/usb-Thrustmaster_T.16000M-event-joystick

evdev-joystick --l

 

Under KSP settings no key press or axis is detected.

 

If I configure mi joystick in STEAM as a generic gamepad controller and map some buttons (X,Y,A,B and so on) I get as much as 10 buttons and 4 axis.  Buttons can be used inside KSP settings but axis although they are detected they cannot be bound to pitch, roll yaw... so totally useless.

I've read somewhere that it could be related to UNITY and SDL2.  Is there any solution?
