Ascent auto pilot mods?

I've only used Gravity Turn. I've tried MechJeb a few times  too...both seem to work well

with GT you get to set your own flight specs or follow the mod's educated guesses while MJ will calculate for you. Depends on what level of automation you want

But GT isn't in Ckan though.

  1. didn't know that was a requirement
  2. Yes it is in CKAN, you just have to tell CKAN to set compatibility to include 1.4
  3. It's crazy easy to install without CKAN if you know how to move a folder using your computer's file browser...takes 2 seconds

Yeah I know How to install normally but it makes new play through easy just to install via a click. How do I set Ckan compatibility to include between 1.4 to 1.5.1 parts & mod"s? Does that mess with the game if its a parts mod?

MJ is really nice for this too.  But you do have to sets the specs for each launch.  You also have to consider surrounding territory.    On very low gravity bodies, you can start your gravity turn immediately, and burn towards orbit.   But I have on occasion, not accounted for high terrain "around the corner" and slammed into the side of a mountain during launch.   So I adjust my flight path angle to accommodate.
