New Mods with old version of KSP? 1.4.2

Hello,
I'm using KSP version 1.4.2 as this is the last version that supports the Stock Visual Enhancements properly?
Unfortunately not all mods work there according to CKAN.
Here's my list where I'm unsure which version I should install, or which version works best with 1.4.2

Stockalike Mining 1.5.1 / 1.4.3  /  1.3.1

Global Construction 1.4.1 / 1.4.3 / 1.4.5   -> USI compatibel ?

DeepFreeze  1.4.1 / 1.5.9

Hide Empty Tech Tree Nodes 1.4.1 / 1.4.3 / 1.5.1
 

should I install for Global Construction 1.4.1 or 1.4.3 or 1.4.5 ?, basically all 1.4.x mods go with the ksp version 1.4.2 ???

Try the ones closest to the version, always with the same minor version. If it doesn't work, you can try recompiling them yourself.

So then I will search the versions manually. Thanks for the link. But then I have no control over whether the mods are compatible with each other right?

Unless the mod authors specifically set out to make them so, you never do.   We do have community based standards so usually mods will play nice together, but if you install two mods that do similar things, then you'll probably encounter issues.    But that's one of the beauties of KSP, you can have multiple installs of the game, different versions if you like, or the same, and have different mod sets for each one, so each game is different.   So if you want to try out group A of mods, you can, while also playing group B on another install.
