Suddenly low FPS

Got the game yesterday and was playing with some complicated rockets max graphics 144fps, but I started playing today and all I'm getting is 44 fps average no matter what settings I'm at. I have done nothing to tamper with my install, my settings are all the same, I simply booted up the game and it is just acting like this. There are no tasks running other than KSP and the other various background tasks than I always have running. I have updated my drivers for my GPU and it is shown to be clocked by KSP, so its not running off integrated. Any ideas on whats going on?

 

Lol nvm I cleared my settings cfg file and re altered them, it's all good now.

 1st off, welcome to the forums. 

You need to give us some real information, such as the log file. See my signature for a link to a post which tells you how to provide the log file

Is it a laptop? If so is it plugged in? I only ask as my laptop has a dodgy power lead and even though I have 100% battery power KSP instantly loses FPS and starts juttering when I lose plug power and it switches to battery...just a thought.....

When your laptop switches to battery power, it's probably also slowing down the cpu to save power

Most OS have different power settings for battery and plugged  in, regardless of battery level.

Check the settings and don't forget to check the settings for multiple GPUs when on a laptop.
