Just derping around?

I dunno, sometimes I get tired of just sending normal rockets up there... I just get the urge to put together a ridiculous rocket that pretty much just serves the purpose of having fun.

Just wondering if you guys every just "derp around" and make a funny looking rocket without really the intention of getting to space or anything.

Not quite instant, takes about 14 seconds for the pod to "land".

Nothing(sadly), the Kerbal just gets pinned to the pod, but doesn't get knocked off(assuming you have the throttle low enough that the pod doesn't just snap off).

I did that a lot in .13.3 (free version) because it was relatively limited, so you had to derp around to try to do something new and interesting. Now, especially with part rotation, you can make pretty much anything you want so there's less specialness to it...

Derping with planes is pretty good fun, though.
