Container Bug?

Since I'm playing with both DLC's for the first time, I'm making a little rover using the Mk2 rover body, and 4 of the container boxes.

As I'm filling up the containers with stuff, I accidentally click on the box instead of right clicking it, and I remove it from the rover.  I use Ctrl-Z to put it back, since I had to fiddle with the positioning to get it right, I don't want to do it again.   But sometimes the Contents are there, sometimes they aren't.   And then also, sometimes it deletes the contents of the other boxes too, sometimes all of it, sometimes some of them.   Then when getting screengrabs for this report, it only deleted some of the contents of the removed box and not all of them.   Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?
