Why can't I download mods for 1.7.1?

So I am playing KSP 1.7.1 and I have the Making History Expansion, as well as the Breaking Ground Expansion. For some odd reason, even when I download 1.7.1 compatible mods, (Spacedock, in case you are wondering) the mods do not work. I moved the mods to the GameData folder and all then, but nothing happens?

So here's the thing. I recently downloaded 1.7.1, along with the updates to making history/breaking ground. Immediately after I got the system running, I downloaded some mods, (1.7.1 compatible, of course) and moved the mod files to the Game Data file. I started up KSP, waited for it to load, checked the VAB parts tab, and noticed that the mod parts were not there. I do not know if this is a problem with the base game or the BG expansion. If anyone has an answer to this, please help.

Most likely something is wrong with your install process.  Double check your procedures here and then report back.   Without more data, like logs or a mod list, we have very little go on here.

I have the same problem. I downloaded KAS and KIS ,but  it didnt worked. I have KSP 1.7.1 Breaking Ground,and Making history. Pls help.

It's no bug

I once had this issue in ksp 1.6

All you need to do is go into your game data folder where inside it says "squad" and "squad expansion" and you need to make sure the mods are along side it (doesnt matter what order) like this:

Squad

Squad expansion

KAS

(Same with any other mods)

And make sure there isnt any other folder called "game data" in your game data folder as the game gets confused with the files

It should work as it I have KAS now in ksp breaking ground
