Re-downloading Question

Hello,

I just bought a new computer and I am trying to download KSP on this computer. I bought the game from the old website (I guess it was the squad page I can't remember, it's been a while) anyway, I have a steam code to DL the game but I can't figure out how to use it to get the game on my new computer. Full disclosure however, I got the code to upgrade the game on steam. I don't know if that will work for what I am trying to do here.

That didn't work. It's pretty much the same as the regular website. I can't figure out how to enter my code so I don't have to pay for the game again. I am leaning towards doing that though because it seems like it's going to be a PITA.

Not sure what you mean by the same as the regular website? To add somethign via code on steam, click add a game in the bottom left, then activate a product on steam, then just follow the step by step instructions

Ohhhh!!. Ok. Thank you for your help. What I meant by "regular site" was when I went through the help section it was exactly as the web site and I couldn't do a live chat. Sorry if I bugged you. I am not a regular steam user and I am unfamiliar with how it works. Thanks again for your help.

If you bought the game on the KSP store, your account should be still good there.  That's where I get mine from.   If you have a steam key, then installing through steam should be good.
