Quick question from someone still one Kerbal break:

What about those football parts that came as an "official mod" - do they still work, did they evolve into inflatable airbags to land a probe?

I think Squad abandoned them along with part upgrades, and courage and stupidity.

They're still in-game, but a lot smaller so they match the size of the electric soccer balls recently discovered by Hubble.

They are not in the game. You need to download them.

SXT Continued and one of the USI family of mods both have landing airbags and also flotation bags.  Both are working in 1.7÷   USI is officially 1.6 but is still working good
