I just loaded KSP, and it prompted me saying 'New patcher is available'. Pretty fancy!

I got a little gray box when I started the game, I agreed to the update, it asked me to wait for a moment, and then it went away. Uh, did it do anything? It didn't come up the next time I started the game.

I am far too excited about this. Like, it's pretty silly how much I want .17 - BUT I know we all have to give the devs time to make it as close to perfect as they can get. Sooooo in that regard, shine on you crazy devs. Shine on.

Click on the patcher in your KSP directory, and it's got a new, faster interface. Pretty fancy.

The .17 changelog hasn't been edited since Aug.27th, maybe it will come soon? A bit of a surprise perhaps

Okay, that comes up with a little box asking me if I want to upgrade or fix the game, which is all well enough, except that the response boxes run off the edge and I can neither resize nor scroll around the box. Anyway, won't the game just find any updates from the title screen when I start it up?
