Which part of propeller faces forward? (the blade edge with silver)?

The part of the blade the slices into the air, which side of the blade is supposed to do that?  There's a slight silver tiny to one side of the blade.  Is it that side, or other other?

I believe that in fact it doesn't matter, in terms of in-game behavior, i.e. that it will perform identically regardless of which side is up.

That's not true in real life, of course, but KSP's aero model is simplistic enough that the distinction is lost.

That said, though, in terms of aesthetics, they're modeled asymmetrically to look like real-life propeller blades, so in that sense it does "matter" in terms of looks.

So, in answer to your question, the painted side of the propeller (i.e. with the white and gold striping near the top of the blade) "should" be facing towards the incoming airflow, and the thin silver stripe "should" be on the leading edge of the blade.
