Replica Apollo Egress Hatch

As a builder and a maker (as a profession and a hobbyist), I'm a huge fan of Adam.   I think some of you might get a kick out of this, and if you find the right person (heck, Adam), somebody might be able to get a hold of the prints of the hatch for KSP modelling or other passion projects (fully immersive IVA Capsule controllers?).    While you're watching this, keep in mind Adam et al are Prop makers, not engineers/machinists, so they are used to fast builds that look authentic, but might not be functional.  Although some of the machinist channels I follow did contribute some parts. 

 

How cool would it be though, to think that something you did for a collaborative project is now on display at the Smithsonian?

Free to use for non commercial purposes. Most of the files are a little more hard edged than the original parts which were heavily smoothed to prevent cuts and abrasions.

I was a little disappointed they didn't invite anybody who actually built the real doors. There must be a few still around.
