When saving a subassembly, only 1 part is saved (the root)

Hi All,

The title really says it all. When saving a subassembly only the root part of the subassembly gets saved for me. Google unfortunately does not return any usable results.

I encountered this in a modded install first, and after going thorugh the lovely exclusion process without any luck I thought I'd check a stock install. Weirdly, after uninstalling KSP, clearing out gamedata and reinstalling KSP, I am still seeing this behavior on a stock install. I'm running KSP on windows 10 via steam.

I'm sure this must be related to my machine somehow, but im just unable ot figure this out myself. Help is much appreciated!

One thing you can try, if you have not already, is verifying your game files through steam.

Thanks for the welcome and the help! No success unfortunately.

 I am truly at a loss as to what kind of error/bad data would remain to cause this after fully reinstalling and starting a new game.

Any other thoughts?

Subassemblies are craft files, saved in a special folder off of your game folder. I'm not sure what you'd find the but that's where I'd start.

Maybe try to save an entire craft as a assembly and then compare the subassembly file to the craft file.

I too am having this issue. Verifying integrity did not work.
