Krakotte
There are numerous lithium-ion battery chemistries. “Lithium-ion” is more of a class of products than a specific type of battery. Lithium-Iron-Phosphate batteries, that are more and more used by car manufacturers, are far less susceptible to undergoing thermal runaway that some other Li-ion chemistries. Quote New Mexico law does not prohibit machine gun possession. However, federal law places restrictions on and requires the registration of machine guns. Unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon is a third-degree felony, punishable by up to three years in prison, a fine of up to $5,000, or both. So, check his firearms license first. tater
This demo is teleoperated—they have rigs where people wear VR headsets, and detectors to watch their hands move—the VR is a camera view from the robot head. Since the DOF of the arm/hand is very human, it makes it easy to do these kinds of demos—but it also means humans moving can be training data for the automated part. Terwin
Sounds like good practice for remote operation of robots for construction in hostile environments such as orbit, Luna, or Mars.

Exactly. With a low altitude laser linked constellation like Starlink operators in rotating habs in orbit could “waldo” a robot on the surface with very low latency
