Getting Rosford home from her floating cottage near the surface of Jool

“Story”

 

Rosford just had a splendid vacation in her floating holiday retreat near the “surface” of Jool. The gasses at an altitude of 10km are the perfect remedy for liver spots and stress!
Now, her vacation comes to an end and she has to get back home to Kerbin! Luckily she’s got a powerful ascend vehicle to get her of this rock…fart?

Some personal mission highlights

·         Building a stable Jool worthy helicopter/rocker hybride was very difficult and took me weeks to build and test. It was a blast!

• ·         The floating houses and ascend vehicle were very easy to control with two KAL-1000’s
  • I would use one for pitching the rotors (for lift)
  • And I would use the second one to adjust the rotor speed for finetuning
• ·         Most parts of the mission were done with trail and error. And quickloading… however, quickloading to a moving helicopter is a bad idea since the rotors don’t spin when the game is loaded. So I had to do all stuff that included rotors in one go. That was nerve wrecking haha.
• ·         I only included the return trip in the video to keep things short. Getting the house and ascend vehicle was quite a challenge, but I left that part out to focus on the getting of the gas giant part. If people are interested. I could share that part as well.
