Rocket-Powered Island Hopping!

Mission:

Build a rocket-powered vehicle (plane, vtol, missile, doesn't matter), then land the same Kerbal on as many unique separated landmasses on Kerbin as you can with it.

Your mission ends when your Kerbal dies, becomes stranded, lands on the same landmass twice, or touches water or a craft in water.

Your score is the number of unique landmasses successfully landed on and stopped at (not counting the main continent, since you started there).

Have fun, and happy landings and "landings." Oh, and please don't use ISRU.

 

Clarifications:

Please start at KSC.

Staging is allowed.

Kerbal parachutes and EVA packs are allowed.

You can land the Kerbal on their own but if you do they're likely stranded.

No. This is rocket power only. If you can power the prop with rockets that's ok, but no electric motorized props.

Are staging or drop tanks allowed?

Is the Kerbal parachute allowed? If so, does a part of the craft have to land with the Kerbal on the last landing?

Drop tanks and staging are allowed. Parachutes and Kerbal chutes too. You may land a lone Kerbal but obviously they're stranded if you don't give them a way to the next island.

I really like this challenge. I think it is more complicated than it might seem at first impression. I now have a score of 7, video to come.

You could do some really intricate missions with this.

Depending on how much  time I have I might not make the 7 video since I got really close to 8 and could do 9 with a modified design. Kinda sucks not having competition though.
