The Space bus!

Im sure you have heard of ORDA:

Your challenge: make a space bus! overalll, it has to be a big ship, that is currently parked in kerbin orbit. then, you send up 1 or more (the one with the most wins) spacecraft and dock to it. the big ship then goes into sun orbit (like interplanetary mission) and then remans there, but a spacecraft (AKA bus) undocks and takes it back to kerbin (or jool when 0.17 is out )

Rules:

1:No instant orbit generators

2: No using the teleport to target feature

3: have fun!

Sigged. And also, does a space bus mean a very long space station?

I think he means a rocket that takes more than one separately docked payload on an interplanetary trajectory. That's pretty much how I'm planning on doing most of my interplanetary missions actually, and I've done a little bit of work to see if it's possible.

Okay, lemme explain this. this is not an ACTUAL Space BUS. what i mean, is just what trbinsc said. get a big space station with say, an ion engine, and get some craft to dock to it, and sent it into interplanetary mission. Then, use the small craft that docked to get back to kerbin. and uh, FACEPALM yes you are using mods! Here i quote myself: "Im sure you have heard of ORDA:

That is a docking mod, witch we will use for this.

Um, What i meant by a bus, is the mothership (the bus) carries passengers (the docked spacecraft) to other planets for 0.17 (but for this challenge just go back to kerbin) So, that isnt a bus, its just called that.

I'd say it's more like a space train than a space bus, at least how I'm doing it.

I should get a docking mod going and get set up for this.

Already I have a few sungrazers that carry a high enough delta-V to approach the sun with a comet-like orbit, it wouldn't take much to dock onto these for a freight train.

I was actually building this kind of ship, but I was calling it an interplanetary modular exploration vehicle. I have all the bits designed, but I'm struggling with the ORDA mod throwing my docked modules off...

Oh, and the lag when you use this mod is terrible!
