OK here is the challenge you have to land on all the moons in one laneJch and flight, the last planet to land on should be the ocean moon and the caft has to be stock parts only. and have to have pictures the prove you did it. and post them here

Might as well add cure cancer to that list, as I don't see that happening the coming few years. I'ts hard enough to go to moon/min/kerbin.

Remove the 'stock parts only' and you might be able to accomplish it with ion engines and a lander/orbiter with docking clamps (Erkle's/Hogdriver's) to connect them. Kethane would probably do for replenishing fuel on the lander, just make sure you land somewhere you can harvest some.

I have a craft capable of getting 2x 3M fuel tanks to kerbin escape velocity, it has a tricoupler at the bottom with 3 nuke engines and a lander up top with a 1m tank of fuel and the 200 thrust vectoring engine.

Anything is doable with docking, even stock, so I say just stock/docking mods and it's fair game.

Unfortunately I hit the Joolian system in a retrograde orbit. I didn't have enough delta-v to stick it back round the right way and ended up slingshotting out of the Kerbol system at a rate of knots. I'll try again tomorrow...

Aerobraking comes to mind. It would have solved all your problems.

Aerobraking comes to mind. It would have solved all your problems.

I can never get my head around gauging how much to aerobrake by. Always end up dunking into a planet or not really affecting my orbit at all. Still, it's an idea for the second shot if I hit it retrograde again.
