Linking up vessels

Hi everyone, looking for a mod that can take an attachment rope of sorts and attach it to another, linking those 2 ships up to make 1 ship so it'll be easier to make bases and have separate modules around like a solar farm or a reactor module of sorts. can use KAS/KIS or breaking ground system

Not quite what you describe but serves (mostly) the same function - SimpleLogistics. It allows craft to plugin to a local network and share resources. Listed for version 1.8.1 but I'm using it in 1.10.1 without issues.

Edit: Just looked at the thread and apparently some people are having problems with SimpleLogistics and Breaking Ground in 1.10.1 - Around page 6 LGG offers a fix - I haven't used it so don't know if it works.

KAS already includes the necessary parts. Edit: I see you already figured that out :)

Beware that switching to "docked" might wreak havoc with suspensions and auto-strutted parts.
Also, parts will clip through each other where they didn't before, unless "same part interaction" was enabled.

(taniwha has a "funny" video depicting what happens when you switch a rocket on an extraplanetary launchpad to "docked" - it will fall through the launchpad...)
