Long load times on black loading screen (Split from another thread)

I've been waiting for 10 minutes to load from tracking station and I'm still waiting, admittedly I have 4 ships in orbit around kerbal but I'm concerned it isn't going to load at all

I split your comment into its own thread into our tech support area, as the thread you posted in is quite old and the game's inner workings has changed quite a bit since then.

• What mods are you using?
• What are your system specifications?
• Are you playing the game in full screen or windowed mode?
• Can you post a link yo your error logs?

These things are important for us to be able to begin to diagnose what your problem might be. Mods do and often affect game performance. What are you playing the game on? A lot of mods plus an older machine equate loading the game after scene changes at the speed of snail.

On some systems, there is a slight performance boost when playing it in windowed mode. There are some forum members who swear that playing the game in windowed mode helps performance. I am not one of them. But to each their own...

And the error logs will let us know if there are conflicts with your mod and the stock game that could cause the delay in loading times you're describing
