How do I determine licensing?

I made a skybox, which is made of literally 6 pictures exported from SpaceEngine. But to publish it here I have to provide all the licensing stuff. How do I know which one I should use?

Is there a license associated with the original content from Space Engine?

There a note in SE license:

this is for the old free version I believe, which I used, not the one on Steam, as eg. line about copying software probably was changed

That's good news, it sounds like you can redistribute without issues. Here's a guide to choosing a license:

I think I'll be good with Creative Commons then.

Looks like I need to put a readme.txt in the files as well, thanks so much.
