Plane fuel tank explosions

I am building a starwars themed plan and wanted to take off like a vtol so i just straped engines to the bottom and nonwheel landing gear but the front appears to over heat and explode and i cant figure out how to stop it before even getting off the ground i put intakes and heat dissapaters but i am new to the game and dont fully know the mechanics

show us pictures. we can't see the problem if we can't see the craft

Hi @Popaskull22, welcome to the Forums!

From your description I would guess that the exhaust of one or more of the engines is directed at a part of the craft and thus heating that part. But that's only a guess, we could tell you more if you could post a screenshot of the craft or if you put the "*.craft" file of the craft onto a file hosting service and gave us the URL of that.
