Sphere spawning during flight and destroying aircraft

Recommended Posts

so,  one day a sphere spawned in my runway. It looks like the spheres you get from the debug menu. It wasn't moving either, so I had to taxi around it to take off.

Then, one day I was flying at Mach 3 at 11km, and a sphere came out of nowhere to hit my aircraft, sending it wildly out of control. When I tried to EVA with one of the kerbals, the entire craft exploded and only the sphere remained. Neither flight results nor the cheats console shows any indication of which mod spawned this sphere. KSP.log shows that when the aircraft carrier I had unloaded, the explosion immediately happened.

Above is a list of all the mods I have in my folder. the KSP.log is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L7MW6xQsIUYhOODD9F4qWfS7CHo_tiqB/view?usp=sharing

I really don't want to have to uninstall all of my mods to find the culprit, so any help or pointers will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am very inexperienced with your mod list but i think it's probably BDArmory(Missile parts maybe?) related.

Again just a wild guess, hopefully soon someone more experienced with your mods can drop in and help.

I'm no expert here, but I see several things in that log file that are of concern.

  • You have your mods in the Steam folder, which from what I've read here is a big no-no.  You should really create a separate install of the game by copying the Steam folder's contents elsewhere and then mod that install.
  • I see multiple places in the log file where Assemblies cannot be resolved.  Most of the ones I see refer to ADDON BINDER.  An example, about 1/3 of the way down in your log file:
    • [ERR 19:32:13.293] ADDON BINDER: Cannot resolve assembly: KSP-AVC.XmlSerializers, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null

[ERR 19:32:13.293] ADDON BINDER: Cannot resolve assembly: KSP-AVC.XmlSerializers, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null

[ERR 19:32:13.294] ADDON BINDER: Cannot resolve assembly: KSP-AVC.XmlSerializers
  • Near the bottom of your log file it shows that there are textures that aren't being found, such as:
    • [LOG 19:37:36.866] Load(Model): KerbinSideRemastered/Statics/dirt3km
[ERR 19:37:36.877] Texture 'KerbinSideRemastered/Statics/ksc_exterior_terrain_grass_02-sharedassets10.assets-6' not found!

[ERR 19:37:36.877] Texture 'KerbinSideRemastered/Statics/dirt_road-sharedassets9.assets-538' not found!

[ERR 19:37:36.878] Texture 'KerbinSideRemastered/Statics/darkTerrain_texture-sharedassets9.assets-638' not found!

I didn't pore through the whole log file, so I can't say for certain if any of these are creating the sphere effect you are experiencing.  But these issues should be addressed, and if cleaned up my help narrow your search.
