totm april 2021 What was your favorite first in KSP?

Oddly enough doing a Mun landing didn't have an impact for me (probably because I was following Scott Manley's tutorial frame by frame so it felt kinda cheaty :P). But my favorite first have to be my first Duna and back. I was still new to the game, didn't know aerobraking or asparagus staging existed. After days of designing and some 15 minutes of flying, I held my breathe while my ship was tumbling down to Duna's atmosphere and there it was standing vertically. Fast forwarding back to Kerbin and I managed to deorbit and return with (I think) less than 50-60 m/s dV left. Celebrated for days.

The first time I landed on Mun and came back "alive."(The Krakan attacked me when I was about to land on Kerbin,destroying my parachute)

When I first orbited Kerbin, and when I built my first crane in KSP. I still need to practice going to other planets and docking. Especially docking.

My favorite first is probably when I had a SSTO, I landed at KSC, and I realized that I had enough fuel to do it again.

I would say when i landed on minmus, got about 500 science and one contract done, and unlocked the MK3 command pod yay now i can go to the MÜN

Probably my first docking. It was a on the lunar ascent of an apollo style mission.

The first time I visited Duna I did it on my first real tower lander.  If I'm remembering right, it's been some years.

Frightfully rough design, at that time, but she flew.

First Mun landing in like 2014 or 15. Back then, I didn't know what a quicksave was... And I crashed many times.

Other firsts were the first orbit, first rendezvous/docking, first proper station, and my first interplanetary transfer.

For me it was the time I got into a sub orbital trajectory with my stupid amazing rocket design.
