That last drawing looks way too low in the atmosphere.  It makes the space station look more like a high altitude blimp.

I agree that these parts would be nice in KSP. I can think of a few modders who would do a great job creating these parts but I think they are all busy with backlogs of other KSP work so I won't even mention them by name.
