Is there a mod in which I can slow down faster on re-entry?

Is there a mod to slow down faster on re-entry or is it possible to make one? I know this may sound like a stupid request but in KSRSS 2.5X I can't slow down fast on re-entry and I'm wondering if there is a mod or if it is possible for a mod to slow me down faster on re-entry.

Why would you slow down faster? If you choose a periapsis of 40km you can slow down fast enough in KSRSS 2.5.
You can use a deployable heatshield which is bigger and slow down faster.

I figured out the issue was FAR, it stopped me from slowing down but the issue is gone now.
