Ember12
It might be nice to have some sort of tread part, like on excavators and such. I'm thinking of these as a lower RPM but much higher friction alternative to wheels for anywhere with steep slopes and/or high gravity.
shdwlrd
Or for high mass vehicles or cargo, or low gravity moons. (OK, not Gilly. You can trip and fall off Gilly.)
Ember12
Maybe a tread with mini-harpoons or something for Gilly...
Catto
This should be included for icy worlds, like for normal wheels they would be slippery but on treads it would be normal.

BekfastDerp13
Just now, The Aziz said: But I have a feeling that Gilly may no longer be the smallest body in Kerbal universe. Yeah, I kinda hope there is a asteroid or just minuscule moon that if you walk once you exit the SOI.

t_v
I think that wheels will not be as uniformly circular as in KSP 1, there will likely be some wheels that are like small treads (those trapezoidal wheels) but aside from a few different sizes of tread wheels I don’t think we will get modular or procedural treads. magnemoe
Wonder a bit how well wheels will work with the very rugged terrain we has seen in the trailers. Pretty obvious an small rover with small wheels will get serious problems there. Now that is probably the Mun and I assume Duna will be smoother because it has more sand an weather.
