Heres my first modular station in 1.0.2 - took 5 flights to get it in place as Im still not great with the new aero

Flight 1 - Station Core (Research Module, monoporop, batteries & docking ports) & Orbital Tug

Flight 2 - Command Pod, Hab One & Comms Array

Flight 3 - Fuel Tank Storage (4 orange cans, slightly clipped to give a lower cross section & sent up empty)

Flight 4 - Docking Hub & Docking Arms

Flight 5 - Hab Two, Science Pack & Docking Adaptors

Each flight also had a big Rockomax fuel tank with it which was temporarily stored off a spare docking port until it could supply the main tanks)

Unfortunately, having multiple labs in one station is completely useless : you can only use one at a time...

Anyway, it was fun to build...

I really like the design you've gone for. Haven't actually made a station with a "hole" in it before, I might do that for my next one :D

What mod's did you use for this, and was it in .90 or 1.0.2?

Probably a good idea to quote the post you're referring to. With so many different images there is no way to know who you're asking.

I've got two stations operational at the moment, though the second is still WIP.

The first is Skywatch Orbital, which is just another one of my torus-based stations that I've posted a million times already, though unlike the last, it doesn't have the elongated column docked to the back that would enable fuel tanks; it's remaining as a stubby station :P

Two usable docking ports for incoming/outgoing ships, one on each end. The torus is the front of the station, and the lab/solar array is the back.

5 crew currently reside there, though it does have a 130 Kerbal capacity, 128 being in the torus. I'll never fill it up :P

The second station is Penumbra Research, in orbit of Minmus. I didn't actually use a torus for this one, instead opting for a somewhat more typical station.

What mod do those sweet inflatable parts come from?

As Commander Zoom said, they're from Porkjet's Habitat Pack. Be warned, though, the download is way out of date and so you'll need to update the configs a little to get the parts working with 1.0 (I do believe Porkjet will be going through a revision of the pack at some point, though, so keep an eye out for that). It's a simple enough fix for each config, though; for the node_stack_bottom values (you can find the line close to the top of the config file), you need to change the value that's fifth on the line from '1.0' to '-1.0'. It's the value in red here (it's also the same on pretty much every other config):

I'm playing around with resources for the first time. This is one of my standard all-in-one station cores with a refinery pod (bottom left) and an untested miner lander (bottom right). That thing on the other end with the three wings is a station tug (upper right) used to pull the station from LKO to a polar munar orbit.

I should have planned the mission better. I put the station core into orbit first. Sent up a station tug, docked it and pulled it to Mun. Then sent up the refinery pod and flew it to Mun. Ran out of power during the rendezvous but was lucky it ended up close enough to send one of the construction pods (bottom center) out to it and finish attaching it. Then sent the miner lander to dock. Started up the scanner and was alerted to the fact that I needed to be in a polar orbit. So finally tugged the station into the right orbit. Now there's almost no fuel left on the station.

Hopefully the lander will work and I can use the refinery to make some more fuel. Wish me luck.

Sadly I cheated and hyperedited it to orbit. I had a launcher built and it would fly but it kept exploding (the entire thing literally would vaporize) ~10 seconds after dropping the first stage. I later discovered it was an outdated mod (all parts mod so how it happened is beyond me) but by that time I had already scrapped the launch vehicle and couldnt be bothered designing a new one.

Here is my best space-station. It was made in 0.24, but I still have the file. It was made in career mode and the only mods I used for it is "attachable's" to strengthen it up with struts, and the visual cloud effects. I have recently started a 1.0 game (1.0.2), but I have prioritized making a moon base, before making a larger space-station!

And here is a picture of my new moon-base, for good measure! ;) I use rovers with docking ports under each part, to make them all moveable. Took a lot of work to figure out, but it works absolute wonders!

I'll send up a shuttle later as I launched it without crew, and the lab could do with being staffed. Plus there's a kerbal stuck round Minmus, and I've got four tourists, so all in all, it should make a nice little mission.
