[0.17][Stock] Simple Mun Rocket (SMR-1)

I hope this rocket will provide a good demonstration of rocket design. I see too many people out there using HUGE rockets to accomplish something that a much smaller rocket can do.

There are 4 main stages:

The first stage will get you out of the thick part of the atmosphere and begin your gravity turn.

The second stage will get you the rest of the way into orbit. It has 4 sepratrons to deorbit it after use. (Point the rocket prograde before triggering the sepratrons)

Third stage transfers you to Mun orbit and can do a good amount of the landing burn.

Fourth stage will land on the Mun and get you back for a Kerbin reentry.

This isn't a fuel efficient Mun rocket, but it's aesthetically pleasing and doesn't leave debris in orbit.

Looks good Kosmo. I only suggest using some SRBs on initial takeoff to save some fuel.

Why would you need to do that? It already has enough fuel.

you can drop the second small engine in place use the nuke engine. If you use SRB's you can get ride of the 2 large half tanks.

But it's a nice simple lander wither way.

I like it. Especially since it uses the vamped up "Poodle" engine, which in my opinion is the one engine that got the largest buff in this update

Lol, I really need to improve my Mun rockets, they're the same size as my Duna rockets... O_O
