How to Space station construction

How long would it take to make a space station module on the ground either a deduced ISS module or commodity like the L.I.F.E Module from Serra Nevada corp? I ’m starting to suppose we need to gutter the ISS or at least put it in a graveyard route for tourism profit.

The main problem is that these things are custom hand-made, although there are some standard designs. We need an assembly line for space station modules, similar to how SpaceX is pumping out Starships/SuperHeavies.. Until then the price will always be crazy high.

Several years, basically. It takes quite a while to outfit the fabricated pressure hull.

Currently, Axiom is on track for their first module to ISS in 2024. The pressure vessel is being fabricated right now by Thales Alenia Space (they did the other US modules). The plan is to send a new module each year for a few years, and once they have 4 they will disconnect it, and it becomes a new station. Think the discussion is in the ISS thread, there might be another one as well.
