Theoretically simple Minmus landing?

So, I've been thinking and I remember someone saying that you can get into orbit around Minmus using just the eva pack, so, if this is true, you should be able to eva from an orbiting ship and land using only your eva pack.

However that was in 0.16, if they have changed minmus then I am not so sure now.

thanks, I have been trying to land on ANY moon since .16 and since .17, the new planets have blinded me from my original goal...

Definitely nail Mun and Min landings before you attempt interplanetary travel. in fact, I would even become pro at landing on both in one mission, since that's pretty much what you'll be doing when going to other planets, except on a MUCH bigger scale and MUCH smaller SOIs.

THE EAGLE HAS LANDED, but I didn't use my theory on EVAing, either that, or I'm really bad at it, now, how exactly do I get my orbit from that of kerbin's to that of a different planet's

Short answer: accelerate in the direction of Kerbin's orbital motion to climb to higher orbits, accelerate opposite Kerbin's orbit to fall to lower orbits. Of course, meeting a planet when you get to its orbital height is a matter of timing, and there's no short answer to that. Look at the how-to and tutorials under how-to for interplanetary travel.

I did this on Bop, the only problem is you have to watch your fuel and make sure you have enough fuel to rendezvous with your spacecraft.
