Can't attach solar panels in VAB...

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Long-time reader, first-time poster:

When I select them from the parts menu they're flashing red instead of just semi-transparent and I can't attach them at all. This includes stock parts as well as mod solar panels. I've been playing in a modded career. I tried again in sandbox and the same problem happened. Only two NearFutureSolar panels worked. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks!

Are you trying to attach the panels to a part that doesn't allow surface attachment?

Start a new craft in the VAB, pick a simple stock capsule as your first part, then try to attach panels. Do you still get the problem?

Post your logs. Don't paste them directly here, upload them somewhere they can be downloaded from. Preferably Google Drive or Dropbox. Post the link to the logs here.

Without the information in those logs I can only guess, but you're probably having exceptions thrown at the wrong time in the VAB.

If you're not sure where to find your logs:
