Kerbal System Compendium

Kerbal System Compendium is intended to be a realistic look at planets around other stars. Inspiration for all planets and stars is primarily taken from real life examples, although some stars have not been observed to possess planets, the size of the universe is so vast that NONE of these stars having planets is an impossibility. KSC Takes Place far In the future, Kerbol has been abandoned as it turned up the heat on Kerbin, so we must spread out into space in order to guarantee our survival.

Stars

KSC is intended to focus on more exotic star types than the standard G, K, and M dwarfs most commonly seen in planet packs. Instead showing you the bodies that could exist around rare suns. Compatibility Stars (Stars to host other planet mods) are coming as well. Below are some of the planned out systems, more will be added as time goes on.

Spoiler

Sidao System(A3V)

  • Deagos - Airless rock, but great for solar arrays and beamed power later on

  • Gaida - Mostly covered in water and bare rock, similar to laythe, but with no oxygen and warmer

    • Gaidu - A moon similar to the Mun, but surprisingly smooth

  • Quintro - A gas giant with a nice set of moons, although all of them are cold.

    • Qila - An airless moon larger than Moho, its mass is very high, perhaps a good place to start mining operations

    • Nian - A world with seas of ammonia on it and a thin atmosphere

Algon System(G2Iae)

  • Scoria - A molten world with reddish continents made of gravel, its rotation is slowing as it tidally locks, and it used to be a frigid world, but now it has completely changed as its star balloons in size.

  • Cecil - This gas giant got off a little easier than Scoria did, but its once promising moon has been turned into a world with oceans of sulphuric acid.

    • Tyrna - A Minmus sized moon with a tiny SOI, it's even made up of similar stuff!

    • Downfall - A moon which was once very similar to laythe, but now it has been turned into a complete hell, with seas that will dissolve almost anything given just minutes.

  • Lano - An ice ball which has oceans now, but it is still far too cold for life.

Raye System (WO6.5)

  • Agena- Hot, Radiation Blasted planet with hellish surface conditions and no atmosphere

    • Agal- Small round radiation blasted moon, but at least you get the view

  • Antar- Large Terrestrial planet, exerts massive tidal forces on its eccentric moon.

    • Lun- A body pushed to its breaking point, the surface contains seas of molten rock against barren islands, the only safe places to land.

  • Geron - A beautiful gas giant, sadly without the rings, but possessing some of the best views in the system

    • Grid - A thin atmosphere shrouds this planet, the only one with a distinct atmosphere in the system.

    • Ahora - A small rocky moon, the ice was long since blasted away.

Kerbol System(G2V)

  • Moho - A world that has broken, the crust finally cracking under the force of the contracting core.

  • Eve - Pretty much the same as stock eve, a little warmer

    • Gilly - Orbit changed, but it otherwise has basically done nothing.

  • Kerbin - An absolute hellhole, with sky high temperatures and pressures on the surface, nothing remains from the old world.

    • Mun - Basically the same as today

    • Minmus - Land has changed quite a lot, but otherwise quite recognizable

  • Duna - Lost the ice caps to space, with salt flats remaining from an abandoned terraforming effort, the air is still usable to jets however, albeit a little thin.

    • Ike - Had some impacts, but pretty similar to the Ike we know

  • Dres - Dres did nothing basically

  • Jool - Basically the same as now but the moons have moved around, and a ring has formed between Laythe and Tylo

    • Laythe - After suffering a massive impact from the remains of Pol, it has seas within the leftover craters, also has a medium atmosphere

    • Tylo - Got off easier than Laythe, but still had some major impacts changing the entire appearance of the body.

    • Bop - Unchanged, it's still just a space rock

    • Vall - Cratered from ripping apart and ejecting Pol, But otherwise still your bluish ice moon

  • Eeloo - LN2 Oceans fill the cracks of the old world, has an atmosphere, gained a moon.

    • Karos - A icy ball with minerals coming from impacts.

Theus System (Home system) (F9V)

  • Kazaria - A basaltic world with high mineral concentrations and abundant solar power, just make sure you don’t step in the lava

  • Aeriodis - A gentle giant with swirling clouds of water vapor visible from its massive moons, it and its moons are a perfect target for early interplanetary exploration

    • Vlag - The innermost of the moons, and the most geologically active, Vlag has a massive ocean of lava only split by barren continents of dark Basalt.

    • Lasan - A moon with massive craters and cracks, no atmosphere.

    • Nasda - A moon similar to duna, thin atmosphere, sandy terrain, has some nice ice caps.

    • Danaso - Seas of liquid mercury slosh against solid shores, the dense metal is basically impossible to sink into, but it does provide a beautiful landscape.

  • Eos - Homeworld of Kerbalkind, after a long terraforming effort the air is barely breathable, the gravity is heavy, but it was the best place to go as Kerbin died.

    • Zerca - Thin atmosphere and possesses Ice caps, the surface is dark

    • Caustra - Brown moon with cratered terrain, a good spot to start your journey into space.

  • Cragon - A low gravity planet with a thick atmosphere, a propeller aircraft would be perfect for exploring here.

    • Crigli - A nice place to look at the rings and to refuel your crafts.

  • Viper - A Cold Gas Giant with many a moon, each one unique

    • Aragos - A wonderful world with a great view of Viper

    • Explada - Crystals of explodium collect in the lowlands, perhaps a result of explodium seas freezing over as the moon cooled.

    • Arcal - Seas of a liquid substance appear on this strange moon. What they are made of is unknown, but they are likely to be flammable.

    • Iala - a world where water acts like rock, but there is so much that the gravity is a comfortable 0.9g

    • Oxinas - There are large amounts of oxidized copper on the surface, with oxygen remaining in the atmosphere, this world seems like an interesting target.

  • Eladas - A frozen world, reminding the kerbals a lot of Eeloo back before it began its changes.
