Reverting to VAB makes the craft not have a root, breaks the saved workspace, and deletes workspace saves

OS: Windows 11

CPU: Intel Core i7-10750h -- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2060

When i launch a craft and typically fail, i just revert to the VAB. What i expect to happen is that the craft loads correctly like the screenshot below: (i had to load a very early save so that a screenshot of what a "correct" load of a craft should look like)

What actually happens sometimes is that reverting to the VAB loads the craft with a few parts being buried into the ground. Initially, only the green marker is visible as shown in the screenshot below:

When hovering over the parts, however, as shown in the following screenshots, the other white markers start to appear:

What is also observed in the screenshots between the "correct" loading of a craft and the bug i encountered is that the sub-assemblies of the correct loading of the craft are there in screenshot 1. However in screenshots 2, 3, and 4, the sub-assemblies are gone and nowhere to be found.

 

Furthermore, the workspace saved data is completely not there when trying to find it in the "load craft" area as seen in the screenshot below. In this screenshot, there is an auto-save made at 1:01 AM and a "Station 1 Hydrogen" save that i made at 11:29 PM. There were other saves that i had made in that hour and a half for the same craft, but a different name. These saves are completely gone from that section.

How to replicate: I have only encountered that bug when dealing with heavy crafts like the one in the screenshots. it weighed 3000 tonnes after all, so I can only assume that this is how to recreate the bug. It doesn't happen from the first revert to VAB and i tested to see if the bug happens after a fixed number of reverts, but that wasn't the case either.

 

Fixes or Workarounds: none that i know of.
