fuel tanks in the wing

Recommended Posts

I didn't see this when I made my own topic on the same subject. Agreed. Wet wings are a necessity. They should be available for all wings because not matter the plane size the wing is still the idea place to store fuel.

Like I mentioned in my thread fuel stored in the wings could also be pumped around to cool leading edges and other hot areas.

100% wings should have fuel capacity!

Also, and I know that this isn't very likely (at least short term) but I think it would be super cool to have wing camber be an option you can adjust for the proc wings.

Agreed on this. While I don't necessarily always need fuel from the wings, honestly, in order to get the range or speed for an aircraft I might need or desire, I have found that I've certainly needed in-wing fuel tanks on my designs in order to properly balance my planes - most of my designs are, frankly, designed, for weight in/on on the wings in order to have a properly balanced aircraft, and weight within the wing is very important to adjusting or maintaining the CoM

I don't think they will add it or they already would have added it to the wings, (it is simple to calculate the amount of fuel) but, hey, maybe they will. Would be nice.

Considering they did not even implement a fuel type switch in their tanks - again! - I don't expect this to happen at all.

I believe it would be fairly realistic and handy if we had wing fuel tanks. Maybe give it only to the medium and large wing, and scale the fuel tank in accordance to the size of the wing.

agree, would be cool. There is also realife reason to not put feul in the wing (stronger wing). would be noce of this option would be disable (like controll surfaces) or adding a wing with feul tank.

While on the topic of wings. Inbuilt airbrakes an flaps would also be nice
