MehJeb
Hey there, What does that UI element even do?? First off - this arrow control should fold-unfold this green... eh... "button"? but it does not, it does nothing, just changes the arrow direction... What does this "GO" button do? OK, it contains Launch and "skip countdown" on launchpad - but what does it do in space? It does not fire engine(s), nor does it warp to maneuvre nor does it execute the maneuvre (MechJeb style) - no it is just there and does nothing... and you cannot fold it using arrow - because arrow button does not work either... The Aziz
Arrow extends the stages info on the right, go button does the same thing as spacebar, it's just staging At least until it bugs out, which it does.
KrakenBait
The green button is for triggering the next stage, the first one being the actual launch. The arrow button shows either more or less information on your staging stack. Although I did not notice that immediately either.
MehJeb
5 minutes ago, The Aziz said: Arrow extends the stages info on the right Just checked (game open in parallel) - it does nothing in VAB, it does nothing when selected Launch (on rwy, no stages) BTW, to texture artist: NO, that is not how you put concrete tiles to form the runway: the links between tiles form water drain lines... so this tiling is an "artistic view"
KrakenBait
Maybe try a rocket with multiple stages instead? In this case there is not much information to be shown.
MehJeb
Quote Maybe try a rocket with multiple stages instead? yep, it does show a flyout for stages, and that is my point: both the big-green-button and this arrow are useless once there is one final stage left (resources manager already shows fuel, lox, electric charge etc) - so why even display it and put a screaming "GO" in it?! - that's just poor UI design choice
