JoeSchmuckatelli
I flew a rocket with a spaceplane inside a faring to try to move the plane to a different continent. Very simple - just a rocket body with some beams and docking ports to get the COM of the plane over the COT of the rocket inside the faring. It broke up during launch, leaving the plane flying on just momentum. Had a docking port and beam hanging from the bottom - which I wanted to ditch to lose the implicit drag of such a contraption. Right clicked on the docking port to undock. Camera followed the docking port on the beam. Plane floated away with NO way for me to switch to the plane & Kerbal. Every time I tried; whether in craft vis mode or map or whatever we call the two - and Tracking Center - I keep getting the message: Observer Can't Leave Active Vessel. Meaning... Rozbat Kermin is a gonner. So long fair prince. We hardly knew ye. Thank god I can still fly (fall) the docking port and beam to the surface! schlosrat
I’ve had this same bug a few times while EVAing from rovers or other craft. There are crew aboard the vessel, and I press [ to cycle to the nearby vessel and get this message. It won’t let me cycle into the other craft
