How to update standalone version?

I'm a bit confused about the update proces for the standalone (non-steam non-epic) version? Do I download the new version and overwrite the old game folder? Or am I missing something?

I've been googling around but haven't found much answers. Might be overlooking something or the info is missing or too vague..

Here's what I did. 

Go to the PD website>your account overview >game downloads>New 0.1.1 patched Game download will be seen here

Unfortunately, AFAICT, there is no way to get just a patch. So, I just copied my config files that sit just inside the old KSP2_x64 file over to the new one.

Thanks everybody. I installed over the old version and it worked fine. I hope there will be a launcher in the future to make it easier.

 

For now, it might be a good idea if the devs put some instructions on the download page to avoid confusion.
